How To Make Easy Applesauce Bread

What You Will Need

1 and 1/4 cups of applesauce
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 cup of white sugar
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
2 eggs
3 tablespoons of milk
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon of ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon of salt

1/2 Cup of Nuts (of your choice)
1/3 Cup finely chopped apple

First preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9″ by 5″ bread pan. Then in a large bowl mix together your applesauce, milk, eggs, sugar and oil. When these are thoroughly blended, beat in your flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and allspice. Mix it all together until smooth. (At this point you can add in nuts or finely chopped apples if you wish) Pour into your bread pan.

Bake in the oven for an hour or until a toothpick stuck in the center will come out clean. Serve warm with butter and tea for an excellent snack!

  1. This is baking in my oven right now, looks and smells yummy, can’t wait to try it! I added one small lonely banana to the wet ingredients, 1/2 cup dried cranberries and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. 🙂
