How To Make Key Lime Pie

What You Will Need

  • 1/2 Cup Lime Juice
  • 4 Egg Yolks
  • 1 14oz Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 4 Tsp Grated Lime Zest
  • 12 Crushed Graham Crackers
  • 5 Tbsp Melted Butter
  • 3 Tbsp White Sugar

The first step is to mix the lime zest with the egg yolks for about 2 minutes. Next beat in the sweetened condensed milk and then set the bowl aside for about 15 minutes until it thickens.

Now preheat your oven to 325° and mix your sugar and crushed graham crackers together in a new bowl. Mix in the melted butter and then pour into a 9″ pie pan. Press the crumbs over the bottom and sides of the pan to form a crust. Bake for 15 minutes until the crust is just slightly brown, then let it cool.

Pour the pie filling evenly into the cooled crust and bake for 15 minutes at 325º then refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

Serve with whip cream, a slice of lime, or just as is for refreshingly sweet desert!
