How To Make Your Own Memo Board

What You Will Need

  • A Cork Board
  • Staples & Stapler
  • Fabric (Enough to cover cork board)
  • String or Ribbon
  • Stuffing or Padding of Some Kind (I used an old scarf)

First start by placing your stuffing evenly on the front of your cork board. Really anything soft and somewhat fluffy will do, so if you don’t have extra stuffing laying around, don’t worry, I’m sure you can find something to stick on there!

Next stretch your fabric over the stuffing and staple it onto the back of your board.

Now take your string or ribbon and crisscross it across the front of your board, stapling it securely into place on the back of the cork board. Don’t leave it loose enough that it billows out around the edges, but don’t pull it as tight as possible either.

Where your ribbons or strings cross on the front of your board, staple it down to give it a more pillow like look.

Finally slip photos, memos, and other knickknacks behind the strings or ribbons and you’re done!
